We are currently seeking licensed or temporarily licensed mental health counselors and social workers who are passionate about making a difference in their community.

Position Overview

As a therapist at Turning Leaf Counseling, you’ll provide compassionate, evidence-based care to clients in individual and group settings. You’ll work independently while benefiting from a supportive, team-oriented culture that values professional growth and work-life balance.

Compensation

Annual Salary: $60,000 – $90,000, based on licensure status, experience, and caseload
Performance-based pay model with room for growth

Core Responsibilities

Provide individual and group therapy to support clients with mental health needs, coping skills, and life changes

Deliver short-term, evidence-based psychotherapy according to treatment plans and client needs

Collaborate with primary care providers to coordinate holistic care and improve client outcomes

Refer clients to appropriate services (e.g. substance use treatment, community resources) when necessary

Address co-occurring disorders through integrated treatment planning

Respond to client crises and provide appropriate intervention

Maintain clear, accurate, and timely documentation of all client interactions and case management activities

Requirements

Education & Licensure

Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field

Licensed in the State of Iowa as:

Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW)

Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) — clinical supervision provided

Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)

Temporary LMHC (T-LMHC) — clinical supervision provided

Additional Requirements

Eligible for credentialing with insurance panels

Successful completion of a criminal background check
